I live in Pittsburgh with my wife Michele and twin boys Percy and Moe. We're expecting another this June. I am a writer. My memoir, "The Urban Hermit," is due out with St. Martin's Press this December. It details how I lived for an entire year on lentils to dig myself out of debt. I also lost 160 pounds, met my wife, and made strange drug deals with weird bikers. I teach composition, journalism and creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh.
