I have some mint in the yard that is crying out to be made into mojitos...drink local!

Do you grind a bit of the mint in a pestle first before going into the Mojito? I like it like that. Very minty!

Wait a minute... mojito is the name of the drink I sampled that I am now craving excessively.

Can you post the recipie and I will try for a virgin version? I remember lime and a little bit of mint (I guess those were the green flecks)

Mojito:

3 fresh mint sprigs
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 1/2 oz light rum
club soda

Muddle the mint in the glass (save a pretty leaf for garnish). Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly. Top with ice. Add rum and mix. Top off with cold club soda (or seltzer) to make it bubbly. Add a lime slice and the remaining mint, and serve.

It can also be made successfully with stevia for those who don't want the sugar.

I was thinking of making some simple syrup so I don't have to fuss with the granuated sugar settling to the bottom - has anyone tried that?

1 c. water, 1 c. sugar. Heat water on stove at medium until just bubbly. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Cool, and use as desired.

Once it's cooled, you can also add 1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice and thin with water to make lemonade!

Sorry, at first glance I thought your comment was asking how to make syrup. Now I realize that you meant has anyone tried it in mojitos. The answer is no.
