Free kids movies!

Check for a Regal movie theater - they do free kids movies in the summer on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings...free a/c and parents who don't mind noisy kids - what more can you ask for?

(AMC also does something similar but they charge the big $1 to get in - cheapskates!)

Bow Tie Cinemas also do the same free movies on Tuesdays but I couldn't find a general website for that one...

We've got a Regal Theater in Fredericksburg. Unfortunately they put the volume up to nuclear blast level. We went to see KungFu Panda and Max just wasn't having it.

The Rave Motion Picture Theatre is doing the same thing.

To me, it's a big fuck you to working parents, though. The shows are weekday mornings. Nice!

Mommagrrl, if you're working you can obviously afford to pay for your movie.

I'm guessing the theatres don't want to sacrifice a screen during more popular moviegoing hours. Still, they could do a Saturday morning or something. Who in the hell pays ten bucks to see a movie at 10am on a Saturday?

I also like that the local bowling alley gives local kids a free game everyday all summer. It works for them since most folks have to rent shoes and I'll usually spring for a second game, but it makes for a good place to hide out for relatively cheap money when its really hot.
