Why are there no dress clothes for infant boys?!

I need nice outfits for my little guys for a wedding in September. Why the hell are there no options for boys, but tons for girls. You can find nice girls' dresses everywhere, but heaven help you if you want something other than casual stuff for boys.

Does anyone out there know of a good source for dress-up clothes for baby boys?

There should have been an extra question mark in there - oops.

I think we found some good stuff at an Oshkosh outlet.

JC Penney has affordable dress clothes for boys

They do in store. I've never really checked online

I just saw a little boy in a dress shirt and tie that his parents got at Walmart (I know, super evil), but I am not sure if they have anything for infant infants.

I used to work for The Children's Place, and they usually have nice stuff for little boys. Here's the thing though, there is almost always a smaller selection for boys (this holds true for men in general) so you almost always have to buy it when you see it, it's very risky to wait for it to go on clearance. TCPs fall lines should be coming out soon, so I'd recommend calling the local store and asking about when they are expecting that line.

Walmart has a great line called George. It's out of england and is great quality. They usually have little sweater vests and corduroy pants. It's dressier than most.

Normally when I "dress up" my boys it involves khaki slacks and polo shirts. They are just going to get messy anyway.

When I took Mo to a wedding two summers ago I put him in a cute outfit of a rugby stripe polo and navy shorts. Then I got him some leather sandals and he was the talk of the wedding besides the bride and all.

Infant boys are definitely tough. For my sister-in-law's wedding, Eli was a toddler. We dressed him in a nice crisp white buttoned shirt and a brand new pair of khakhis. No tie or anything.

I think boy babies in suits look much weirder than girl babies in dresses. A necktie is such a strange thing, isn't it?

I second the suggestion for JCPenney's. At least when I worked there (about a year and a half ago), our relatively small store had a decent variety of suits for infants and toddlers--complete with tiny little clip-on ties! I'm pretty sure that's where my sis-in-law got my nephew's dress clothes, as well.

Mommagrrl, I agree that little boys in suits is kind of wierd, but I love the bow ties and neck ties on little boys. Sweater vests are definately a wicked cool look as well. And if your little dude can rock it a Kangol style hat is a great too!

Super-Papa, I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. We are decidedly NOT a sweater vest/bow tie family. Sorry!

The cutest little boy outfit I have ever seen was at Target. It was a set of khaki pants with an argyle sweater vest w/attached dress shirt. You know, the pullover kind with fake collar and sleeves.

That babytux thing is awesome.

Mommagrrl... aw come on now! Not together of course...

My husband is highly suspicious of anyone in a bow tie.

And sweater vests, just, ugh, oh, well, you know to each their own.

Sweater vest, khackis, and a polo are the best we've come up with. We got ours at Janie and Jack on clearance. There was also an incredibly twee gingham jumper, if that's more your style.

We had to dress the boys in nice clothes for my mother's funeral. Younger Son was only 3 months old, Older Son was 6. Nice polo shirts were not going to cut it. We found nice clothes at Gymboree.

Why does any infant need dress clothes, period? Keeping them free of poop and spit-up is about all I'd ever expect of a child under 18 months.

CJRW - El Destructo had that outfit! He work it to a wedding in the fall...and it was in the evening.

I 2nd the keep it simple and neat.

We have good luck at gap too.

I definitely hear you on simple and neat. My husband, on the other hand, wants little baby searsucker suits. Wish me luck on that one.

Luck finding them or luck convicing a baby to wear one? They had them at Janie and Jack and Gymboree in the spring. You might be able to find on on ebay now. Getting the kid to wear it I can't help you with!
