My Senior Moment Thread

But at least the house is clean.
I am right at the point where i really need reading glasses, but am still too vain to get a pair.
2 months ago, I was trying to buy something online, and had to ask one of my kids to read the three digit code on the back of my credit card for me......I am so old.
I lose my keys at least twice a day. JM doesn't even bother to make fun any more because it's so pathetic. That doesn't seem so much like a senior moment as a thoughtful guy like yourself with a lot on his mind. It's easy to lose track of the minor things when you've got...
Hmm. Not sure I remember where I was going with that.
And what are those kids doing on my lawn? Scram!
At least you're not offering them popsicles and back rubs...and have a dog named Jesse.
Oh, I blame it on my kids.
The other day I was sitting at my neighbor's house and I could not remember what the inside of my house looked like. Seriously, I had to ponder it for a minute and really think about it before I could muster up a mental picture of my living room.
I still blame it on my kids... After all, I have a teenager!
My husband loses everything. Constantly. We have the pre-flight checklist before he walks out the door, and dammit, we just had to add another one...his new glasses. So now, it's going to be: Glasses, keys, cell phone, wallet, (for night job - badge and knife, day job - man purse full of tools )
We actually have THREE remotes for our cable box because we keep losing the damn thing.
You shouldn't be embarrassed. It's the case of the purloined letter.
Capt, I'm only 31 and I've had bifocals for a few years now, so don't feel too old. Although I definitely did when I got them.
ks - a friend of mine, who is not terribly old, literally ran into me at the mall one day. She had just gotten trifocals and couldn't see with them yet. I think she drove home. Yikes.
I have senior moments all the time. I'm naturally scatterbrained and flit from one thought to another, so I tend to set things down in odd places. I've put my keys in the freezer, the fridge, the microwave, various dresser drawers, and in the hamper. Added to my natural nuttiness, I take a medication for migraines that causes memory problems - specifically word recall. I'll be mid-sentence, and a word, plus the entire concept the word names, will vanish from my mind. I can't even come up with synonyms. The word will return, so sometimes I'll randomly yell out "dinner" or "soteriology" but the appropriate time for the word has long since passed. Yeah, it's funny.

You young parents can use this thread to laugh at your middle aged parent friends, but your turn will come :-)
Anyway - my Sr. Moment for the day. I spent 4 hours cleaning through the house looking for my keys only to find them in plain sight of the couch, meaning my time would have been equally productive just watching TV and I would have been just as likely to have found them anyway!
