New Offsprungers, Reveal Yourselves!
Replies
How are you defining "new"?
Ahoy.... New offsprugner here. I'm Heather, new-new mom to Ruby. Grad student...hehe my G key was stuck so it said 'rad student' until I proof read... but that is also true!!
...Trying to navigate motherhood; going through all of the adjustments- though 9 months of pregnancy is a good introduction.
COngrats on the new-new baby, Bea!
(and of course, when I read your name, I immediately thought of Airheads)
Welcome to Offsprung, Heather! You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave...
Oh Alternadad, I know you're not the mushy type, but I BIG HEART you for the Eagles reference. (And he's right Heather - OS is highly addictive). Welcome new OS'er and congrats on the babe.
Welcome Bea - to Offsprung and parenting! SP you are not new enough to be considered new.
thanks for the clarification, Sadie!
Come on, I know there are more of you--my internet was down a few days last week and when I came back, there were at least three new names, not including Bea! BTW, welcome Bea!
Welcome Bea! You'll find us to be a friendly bunch. Belly up to the bar and set a spell...
You mean I can't lurk around here forever?
Hi! I'm not exactly a new mom, as my daughter will be starting kindergarten soon. She's impatiently excited, I'm still tearing up at the thought. That kind of sums us up.
Anyway, I've been happily (and quietly) tripping around here for months. Go ahead, ask me about my crippling shyness.
You have to be delurked eventually.
Hi Anna Mommy!
I feel like I'm at an AA meeting .... :) Which might be appropriate given the cocktail parties around here.
I'm pretty new - although from the amount of time I already spend on here, I had to ponder that for a second...my life currently involves lots of spreadsheets in addition to the 19-month-old D, so I'm in need of frequent non-spreadsheetish bloggy relief. Unfortunately, the combination of spreadsheets and toddler-parenting has drained my last braincell, so you'll know my posts by their frequent typos, incoherent arguments, and sad but unsuccessful attempts at humor.
Doesn't the word "spreadsheet" sound really dirty when you say it more than once?
Spreadsheet, spreadsheet, spreadsheet.
Sorry! See, I warned you.
Welcome Bea.
I've been lurking, it's true. I'm Danica, former infant/toddler teacher, current stay at home mama to Ellie, almost 20 months old. I've become addicted to the humor and wisdom of this site, and have been rushing back here every time my kid falls asleep, except for when I've fallen asleep next to her.
New offsprunger here. My name is Megan. I am pregnant with my first and a week over due. Offsprung has been a great way to keep me busy. Just like Danica, I have also become addicted.
Thanks for entertaining me!
MLB, I love that picture!
Welcome, new Offsprungians!
Anna Mommy, are you Anna or is your daughter? I ask because I have an Ana heading off to kindergarten this fall (and, like you guys, she's full-steam-ahead and I'm already crying over it!).
Hi new people! Welcome! I hope that baby comes out soon MLB. Mine was two weeks late and I just wanted him out, out, out.
welcome newbies! i've only been around for a couple of months, so not too new, and i have found these crazy people to be really very nice!! hahaha! crazy...that's the pot calling the grass green!! basically, folks around here are really cool and very welcoming! don't be afraid to comment, no one is going to bite. well, at least no one knows where you live, right?
Welcome newly delurked OSers! Always fun to have new people at the party. I'm beginning to think something is in the OS water though cuz MLB is the third mommy (and second Megan) to be at least a week past her due date right now. Hope that kiddo introduces him/herself soon.
And muttermutter - I love spreadsheets, I truly do.
Hey, everyone. Now that you're here, why not have your Thetans checked?
Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a while too. I'm a homebirth midwife in Los Angeles and Mom to my daughter, Small Bear. Taking over the pregnancy/birth corner here. I'm so thrilled to find y'all. Trying to balance the mommy/working thing. I had NO idea it would be so hard. Especially when your schedule is as random as mine...
Howdy and welcome to all the new folks!
Muttermutter I love spreadsheets too. I even do my grocery list in excel.
Was lurking for quite some time and finally started posting a couple weeks ago. I am a Professional Mancub Wrangler...ahem, Stay at home mom to my 2 boys - 19 months and 1 week old. I spend my time searching for pacifiers, wiping up sticky messes and having dance competitions with Mancub 1. My husband (a saint!) is Heburb.
why not have your Thetans checked
LMAO. Nice one. I haven't been audited in years...
:waves hello at all the new people!:
Neal,
I suspected all along this was just some elaborate scam.
Hullo Offsprung-folk. I'm new here as well. We just had had our baybuh girl 6 weeks ago and i'm crazy about her. I am(was?) a semi-professional musician and am an actual-professional theatre scenic carpenter.
Mazeltov, PapaJones! Come post where we can see you!
Work at home dad. Daughter was born in November of 2007. My dear daughter has infantile spasms, had an extra thumb (but that's gone now), and that's absorbed most of my time and effort.
Her story is at marissasbunny.com. No, I'm not trying to sell anything. No, I don't want you to buy a timeshare, or any of that crap. It's just a blog :D
if marissa's dad is still around, i went and read some of your blog, and wow. I don't know what else to say that won't sound idiotic or whatever, so just wow. But your baby is gorgeous, just gorgeous; and you are one helluva devoted dad... and your thing about soprano'ing the nuns' table was hilarious. :) I'd like to see your bio page here, if you have one, but the apostrophe is making my browser melt down. Can you lose the apostrophe? i think punctuation is its Achilles Heel or something. Thanks for the link, either way, i'm in total awe of your experiences and diligence and unconditional love. A-mazing.
and hey wow your girl is almost exactly the same age as mine - Sabrina was born 10 November 2007. Albeit Aussie time, so early morning on 10/11 is more like afternoon on 9 november usa time. i think. :)
haha, your avatar is from Yahtzee, I love that guy!
There's not a lot in the bio. I try to make my internet presence more about Marissa and less about me. IS sucks the big one, and it's in between famousness. You'll never see any telethons, or any stars pushing for it. Its horrible for the kids and the parents, and I just want people to know that it exists.
