Toss up... "Never Surrender" Corey Hart and "Wrapped Around Your Finger" The Police
oh! and "Where Is My Mind?" The Pixies
"Spanish Pipedream" by John Prine.
Blow up your TV
Throw away your paper
Go to the country
Build you a home
Plant a little garden
Eat a lot of peaches
Try to find Jesus on your own.
In The End by Linkin Park.
They're creepy and they're kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They're all together ooky,
The Addams Family.
Bababa dum (snap snap) ba ba ba DUM (snap snap)
"I just effing fed you dinner, you cannot be hungry...oh go on and have an apple then...no, not an oreo...an apple...I guess you aren't that hungry then are you?" I think it's by the Pogues.
"To Ramona" - the Sinead Lohan version.
I'm a bit wistful these days.
Kanachick... bwaahahaha!
I had to reread that in the voice of Shane MacGowan.
Here are some:
-Institutionalized by Suicidal Tendencies.
-My Name is Mud by Primus
-Nothing Remains by Chimaera
-That goddam Wonder Pets song
Good days: Theme from The Rockford Files
Bad days: Theme from Sanford and Son
Right now I'd venture to say it's any song about being hot you would hear on a cruise ship, as it's 95 degrees upstairs since the air conditioning is still broken and the landlord is doing nothing.
Bad Days: I wanna be Sedated - the Ramones
Father and Son - Cat Stevens
That's funny cause our good times song is "I wanna be Sedated"
it gets us all dancing.
Also El Scorcho - Weezer
The Jefferson's Theme and The Charles in Charge Theme.
No Excuses - Alice in Chains
kanachick, that is totally my theme every damn day.
Also, "No you cannot have cereal at 10 pm. I don't care if you're hungry. I made dinner and you wouldn't eat it. You can eat in the morning. It is bedtime. It was bedtime two hours ago and you need to go to sleep. You can eat in the morning. In the morning. NOW GO TO SLEEP!"
Comfortably Numb -- Pink Floyd
(No reference to The Unending Pregnancy.)
I like humming Snoop Dogg's ode to the mothafucking MILF weed in a jaunty way
Night on Bald Mountain
(as in the demons that come alive at night, flying around, preventing sleep)
Yougotmeup - Jamie Lidell
Also: Daughter by Loudon Wainwright III. Man that song sucker punches me...
duh nu nu nu nu inspector gadget, duh nu nu nu nu nu woo woo (woo woo)!
as in: why are you fussing? is your foot stuck? do you want to get down? up? nurse? do you have a dirty diaper? are you tired? what is it???
You know, I think I have the same CD kanachick does. I love the track called "NO, you can't have a turkey sandwich. Man does not live by turkey alone. I am not a short order cook. Eat what I cooked for you." It has a great bass line.
Damn it Kommishoner - now the Inspector Gadget song is running through my head.
Suburbia - The Rugburns
I'm torn between Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit or One Step Closer by Linkin Park. What's up with me and the nu metal bands today?
Although I'm working from home today and the Mrs. might be getting done work early so maybe later it'll be Afternoon Delight? I can only hope. If anyone sees sky rockets in flight in eastern PA, you know why.
MttM that's hilarious, Charles in Charge. Could'a gone with "who's the boss", but "Charles in Charge" is waaaay catchier... I want charles in charge of me...
Well, as my daughter told me this morning that Hannah Montana's song, "Nobody's Perfect": That song, Mommy? Its about YOU!
"for what it's worth", AKA "Stop, hey, what's that sound"

Just a line I read in another thread... "Welcome to the madhouse" which made me think of "Welcome to the Jungle", my 3 year old's favourite song.
What is your theme song today? Some days in this house, it's "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys. If there was a song that articulated loud children combining with a (weather induced) migrane, that would be mine today. Maybe "Mother's Little Helper" by the Stones :-P
