i thought i would try something new for me. asking other people if they would like to guest blog on my site.

my family and i are taking a road trip and my possible access to the internet is unknown. i thought it would be cool to have other people post on my site in my absence. it could send some of my traffic to your own site, and vice-versa. you don't have to have a blog, if you want to wrote something and share it that is cool too!

so, if you are interested, private message me with your email address. i'll give you all the specifics and pick a date.

What's the scope of your guest blogging?
I checked out your site and it's very photo-oriented.
A few (probably dumb) questions--do you want the guest blogger to keep that theme? As a blogger who has only used blogspot and livejournal, is posting as easy to your own website as it is to blogspot?
I'm asking the general questions publicly, because maybe other folks who would consider doing it would wonder the same thing.

my blog is photo oriented right now because i have a lot of time to take pictures, but i don't expect people to keep up with that theme. i also just haven't felt like typing much, so photos are an easy post. plus, i have had so much cool stuff going on in my garden lately, so i want to share it.

wordpress is very easy to post on. but for those who might not want to do the actual post, i can set it up to post on a given day (future or past) so i can even do it for you before i leave. pictures are a little more difficult to post for some reason lately, so i really don't expect anyone from another platform to do it. something weird is going on w/ wordpress i think and the way they say you can post never works. i've never used livejournal, but i have used blogspot, and if i remember correctly, w/ blogspot you had to have picasa to do pictures. is it still that way?

honestly, i don't care what people want to post about. it can be ANYTHING. i think it would be really neat to have other people share their voice on my page. i don't have a shit-ton of readers, but i have been getting traffic from all over the world. i would love to give people a chance to share their stories or whatever with my readers, and hopefully steer some traffic to your site too.
