You don't waste any time. Perhaps a little TMI, but definitely no time wasted.

Anyway, glad all you SoCalinians are alive and well after the mediumish'un of aught eight.

Freaking awesome. Of course I AM your audience for any and all toilet humor. Seriously laughed until I cried in my office.

"I even briefly considered that it was some sort of new lawn-maintenance equipment designed to push me toward an early suicide."

What is this "early suicide" speak? You're planning one later but excessive noise will move up the, uh, deadline? Should the flock be concerned?

Heh! That is funny I was in the bathroom too! Only I had finished my business and was trying to wash my hands when the quake hit. I thought some huge truck had run into our office building cause there was these loud crashing noises. I just held onto the sink to keep my balance until it was over. It took about an hour for it to stop feeling like the floor was still moving, which it probably was minorly with the after shocks.

ahahahahaha! Well at least you handled your quake experience better than I did!

I have a list of a few places that I don't want to be during a quake...the throne is at the top of my list.

For the Northridge quake I was in the shower. I heard the pipes start rattling and thought, "WTF?" Then I ran outside wrapped in a towel. Cool under pressure, that's me.

At least you got up. I doubt Sailor would have. Probably would have just continued playing Pokemon on the DS until it stopped or he died.

By the way I love disaster movies so bad. Destruction, death, mass hysteria? Great!

I was totally on the can for the big Seattle quake of 2001. On the sixth floor of the Starbucks offices, which notoriously came apart around our ears. My coworkers really never let me live it down...
