At one point as we waited and waited and waited to find out what they were doing with this other lady, my husband is eyeballing the bag of syntocin on the counter at the nurses station, turns to me and says "Dare you to drink it. Then they'll have too keep you." Many jests were also made about Indiana Jones and the drinking of the blood of Kali.

But they kept her, got rid of me, so I took the bigger kids shopping and walked and walked and walked. Gymboree is a dangerous place to go when you're nesting this hard.

Now I seem to be contracting on my own ... 5-6 contractions per 15 minutes. I will likely wake up my sleeping husband soon to say "We'd better go ... check in."

I'm not promising I'm having USEFUL contractions, but 3 minutes apart is something (better than 20 minutes apart, which is where I was this morning). And at this point, I'm going to want pain relief sooner rather than later.
