I'd totally buy it

I wouldn't trust a man to handle birth control.
and there are plenty of men who wouldn't trust a woman to handle it.
Hmm.... I personally wouldn't trust it to a man, unless I was in a very very committed serious relationship. Because let's face it, it's the chick who's really left holding the bag in the case of an unplanned pregnancy.
I bet if it does hit the market it will be cheaper than female contraceptives. Previous company I worked for covered Viagra but didn't cover any prescription birth control.
I bet it has something to do with a connection to perceived virility - if your body isn't producing swimmers you aren't "really" a man.
This would be really convenient when the woman is nursing and can't take regular birth control.
*shrug* as I understand the science, the trick is finding something that inhibits spermatogenesis without impeding testosterone production.
But yeah, I know more than a few (to my lasting regret) males who would feel their manhood threatened by their body not producing swimmers (nice turn of phrase by the way). Please note: I specifically did NOT say "I have friends who....". Guys with that attitude need, in my opinion, severe daily beatings until their attitude improves.
WbW - the "Not MY manhood!" was totally my husband, until I told him that I'd choke him to death/never ever put out again if he got me pregnant again after Peanut Pants (one of us is just way too fertile, and my money's on him).
The plan (after MUCH wrangling) was that I'd have the baby then go on Implanon, and if the Implanon made me sick, it'd be the snip for Mr Ellie. We'd also decided that in the extremely unlikely case that I got a C-section, I'd go ahead and get the snip while they were rooting around in there and he'd not have to do anything, but I wasn't about to go under general anesthesia six weeks after having a baby if I didn't have to. So *I* got fixed and his swimmers swim on.
Wait, what was I talking about? Male birth control? Such a good idea.
I don't trust myself with birth control. Well actually my gynoir said that it was the birth control pills that triggered ovulation (taking them for two weeks and missing a couple days). Go figure. If I hadn't been on the pill I would have had no periods and not gotten knocked up twice. Not that I would trade my kids for anything... But just when you think you're being responsible.
If it means me not having a baby when I don't want to have a baby, I could be trusted with birth control.
I already have to take something every day, so it wouldnt be a big deal for me.
BUT
I don't understand being able to repress millions of things in a man. Compared to ONE egg in a woman.
I don't know if I'd trust it.
Heburb:
it's a question of the biochemical method.....female pill birth control prevents ovulation. The male version would stop sperm from being formed.

If they were to start a clinical trial for it I'd have The Companion sign up tomorrow.
I can't believe they honestly think there is no demand. I have plenty of guys friends who'd give their left nut for male birth control.
