She's gone to plaid!

I used triple paste...but that stuff is uber expensive.
I also bought Aveeno (that stuff rocks) oatmeal bath stuff. It comes in what looks like actual oatmeal pkgs. Certainly doesn't get him clean but soothes everything from bug bites to butt rash.
Ours didn't go fungal. But the Doc did say stop using wipes until it gets better... use only warm wash clothes (clean one each diaper).
Hope Ebay feels better soon!
There is "Vusion" but that is like $100 bucks or so. Ack! Sorry to hear about that - hope everything works out for you soon!
Ok Leighbie I'm off to google vusion... and I'm hoping it in cases my ass in gold leaf as well as soothes it.
Generic Name: miconazole nitrate, zinc oxide and white petrolatum
Ah ha! Alas no gold leaf'd ass.
The doc gave me a prescription for Vusion (new med on the market for just this problem) but the pharmacy didn't have it in stock. He'd given us the other med's prescription as a backup, so we used it to get instant relief.
I am using gauze pads and warm water to wipe her.
well, there's this stuff - http://www.earthmamaangelbaby.com/angel_baby_bottom_balm.html
claims to have antifungal properties alongside the nappy rash healing qualities. worth a try i'd reckon.
we use this stuff on Beenie - http://www.natureschild.com.au/products/bottom_balm_organic_calendula_and_comfrey/320/1 and i can't say for it's antifungal properties, cos that hasn't come up (yet), but i've put it on nearly everything else imaginable, and it's as awesome as they say it is. truly.
since angel baby is a very similar recipe, i'd bet it's equally wonderful.
Also, does she like yogurt? If she's been on antibiotics recently she may have reduced gut flora? (The natural perspective here).
No advice, just to add that after our fungal experience we always referred to it as "Lotrabuttmin."
Poor little ebay! You're pretty much doing everything I'd be doing...the naked time is essential, I think. You could try draining the whey off some active culture yogurt and maybe try swiping some on a test patch of her butt! Who know, maybe it will help!
Ooohhh! I have no good advice to add, but poor ebay!
Try Beaudreaux's Butt Paste, maybe? Some like is more than triple paste, but some say it's not as good. Baby Grey's only had a day or two of minor diaper rash, but the Butt Paste makes it disappear by the next diaper change. I know, you have a much more severe case, so I don't have any other recommendations. If it hurts when she gets pee or poop on it, perhaps a sitz bath in baking soda might soothe some.
In case you did or are, DON'T put corn starch baby powder on it--that literally (and I'm using that word correctly here!) fuels the yeast.
Poor Ebay! Hope you find something soon.
With all of the wetness around the area because of the creams, letting her sit diaper free for a bit is nice. The air seems to really help. It can be messy, but it helps.
When our son had a bad rash our pediatrician recommended not using commercial wipes and just using Viva paper towels and warm water. This really helped and he didn't cry so much when we changed him. Also, our babysitter suggested corn starch to absorb some moisture and that seemed to work too. Good Luck, poor baby!
When Sam had a bad case of jock itch (at 2, mind you, so I guess it's still polite to call it diaper rash) the pediatrician told us to use Lotrimin but also to add a whole bottle of vinegar into a cool bath. It STUNK of course but the vinegar acidifies the skin and helps the fungus die faster. Also the sitting around in no diaper thing, but Ebay's kind of tiny so that might be pretty dangerous. They also said we could use a hair dryer on lowest and coolest setting to really dry out all the creases and crevices but Sam wouldn't hold still for that!
The vinegar bath seemed to help along with the Lotrimin. Good luck.
I wonder if you could make a little spray bottle of vinegar and water and just spray that on directly every now and then? Hmmm.
We managed to avoid a fungal rash, but when GirlWho was just two weeks old, she got a terrible open rash with weeping sores. We were supplementing with formula, and it turned out she was lactose-intolerant just like me, and the formula had lactose in it. Owie!
With that rash and subsequent ones, we found that the creams that were a good physical barrier provided her the most relief. We were able to use a cheap generic zinc-oxide based cream. Those might block the air too much, however. I don't know.
Poor little Ebay butt!
I make my own triple paste of Hydrocortisone, Lotrimin and Creamy Desitin, and it really is magic for us. Also, for really hideous diaper rash, I'd dip baby in warm water and gently clean him up as much as I could, and instead of wiping him dry, I'd blow-dry him then give him Naked Time for as long as I could. Granted, I got pee on my carpet a time or two, but I was able to knock out that diaper rash in a few days.
And ignore everything after the first sentence, as you're already doing all of that already. D'oh.
Update:
She's gotten three rounds of the prescription cream of Lotributtmin (thanks McG) and Silvadene (the burn cream), and Aveeno inbetween. Just couldn't find anything else at the store, so I went with what we had. She got three warm baths today and a lot of naked time (bing!) and several more towels got peed on. The diapers have been affixed pretty loosely.
The rash is actually on her front, not on the bottom or girly bits. It seems concentrated on the fold between her belly and the pubic fat, just a big triangle of red bumps and peeling skin. But it really does look better tonight than this morning, so hopefully it'll keep going down.
The funny thing is that as soon as I pull off the diaper tabs both her hands fly down and start to scratch, but with her not-so-good coordination she just looks like she's pawing at her junk.
I've got a photo session for the girls tomorrow morning, but I guess we'll be skipping the adorable naked-butt pics for Ebay.
NO CORNSTARCH, NO CORNSTARCH!!! YEAST EATS IT!!!
I'm glad it seems slightly better. Poor Ebay.

Ebay's butt has gone into hyperdrive, overshooting the "really bad diaper rash" and has gone fungal.
Poor girl can't sit still, can't get comfortable enough to sleep. Her doctor prescribed a cream used in burn units mixed with Lotrimin, and it seems to be helping. Aveeno diaper rash cream in between soothes her. She's gotten several warm baths, and we've used up several towels giving her air time on the floor.
Has anyone else dealt with a fungal butt rash? Is there another soothing cream out there cheaper than Aveeno that works just as well? I've about used up the tube and that stuff's expensive.
