Everyone except for my mom-in-law says he looks like my husband. She says that he doesn't look like he did as a baby as my husband was such a pretty baby that he almost looked like a girl. It almost seems like she was saying that my baby is not pretty.

I doubt your MIL was saying he's not a pretty baby - but he certainly doen't look like a little girl. Some babies you really have to ask if they're a boy or girl - not him!

It is good that you don't know my mom-in-law I kind of wish that I didn't either. I kind of fear seeing something of her in my husband someday that will scare the crap out of me. I hope to keep him in line, but only time will tell. She is not nearly as bad as some of the others I have read about on here which kind of makes it worse, but my parents hate her and my bro-in-law and sis-in-law (her other son and daughter) hate her. My husband and I are the only ones in the family really talking to her right now and she fails to see how she could be contributing to the family feud.

People say the strangest passive-AGGRESSIVE things about the appearance of other people's babies. My aunt, drunk at Thanksgiving said, "You know they say 'pretty in the cradle, ugly at the table'!" And then she was so amused at her wit that she kept repeating it, like a parrot. "HA! Pretty in the cradle, ugly at the table!" (Crickets heard chirping) "BWAH! Pretty in the cradle, ugly at the table!"

Hahahha that sucks.
