New food craze at your house...

Watermelon. I've eaten one a week for about 11 straight weeks. Keeps ya regular and hydrated!
Mmmm, hummus with roasted red pepper. Yummy. Sounds good.
Beer and Salt and Vinegar Chips...wait, new fad? Nothing.
I can live on Trader Joe's three-layer hummus: one layer each of plain, spicy, and cilatro. With TJ's whole wheat naan bread (less dry than most pita).
My current thing, eating avocados. Just cut in half and dig in. A little salt, if I'm feeling fancy.
Ylime's mom has been here, and has brought her favorite snack with her--classic Ruffles potato chips. The family-size bag lasts about ten minutes after opening.
T-Rex, that's my new fave thing too (the avocados). I like to slice it onto a piece of whole grain toast and throw on some salt and pepper. YUM
My child is obsessed with waffles. I would say Quinoa is a new big thing around here in the last seven months, and as usual I can't eat enough Tex-Mex (chile rellenos, so good).
McG - how do you cook Quinoa? I'm trying to psych myself up for grains rather than pasta with my "veggie slop" (which is what my boys call the concoction of mixed veggies I make about once a week and eat for lunch). I know the grains are much better for me.
Applesauce.
Hmm... JM, I will attempt to answer this based on reading and observing only, since I do the baking around here but not the cooking. I think it's like rice in most ways, except it sucks up a whole lotta liquid and flavor so you should add seasonings while you're cooking it. We often do a "Spanish rice" version of it with some tomatoes and taco seasonings. It's also a yummy nutty flavor that makes good veggie burgers or pilafs. If you're doing it with mixed veggies I would maybe add a little olive oil and whatever herbs you think your veggies would go well with?
Since it's a complete protein, I can't urge it on people enough.
Shiraz
The kids are obsessed with curried lentils and rice.
I've been eating a lot of grilled pizza with tomatoes, basil, and teeny, tiny hot peppers from the garden (I have no idea what variety they are, but they do have a kick), and fresh mozzarella from the store down the street. Mostly because I have a bumper crop of tomatoes and they are so very tasty.
And cantelope. I've eaten at least one a week for the past several weeks. And since nobody else in the house likes it, it's only me that eats it. Has basically the same effect as LG's watermelon.
Plain old string cheese lately. I've started weaning Little Girl and it's been the perfect nursing-replacement food for her. Then The Boy wants one. Then I want one. Livin' in the land of string cheese, here...
My parents are visiting too CPF. And that also means ruffle chips.
As well as peaches and blackberries.
Tomatoes are in, finally! So lots of tomatoes. At first I was just eating the large ones up like apples, I was so happy to finally get my mitts on them. Now a little more civilized, generally slicing them up before eating, at least.
Ditto on the watermelon and canteloupe, which I get some help with from Miles but otherwise I tend to eat the whole darned thing on my own. This week I took out the melon baller for variety -- so fun to eat melon balls!

I've been a hummus kick the last month or so - traditional, roasted garlic, 40 spice, smoked jalepeno (I got that one this morning at the farmers' market...yummm), red pepper.
What has been the latest fad for you?
