Everywhere A Sign

My 6 year old does this... but they make no sense. There is a sign on my front door that says "Water, kids free" and several others around the house that are just scribbles.
Our fish tank also sports a sign. I also have stickers all over my walls, floors, appliances etc.
Yup, not anymore now that he's 10 but I remember Sam doing this when he was about 6-ish. Seems to be part of their joy in discovering the power of the written word. It always cracked me up.
Not signs, but some of my students randomly started writing letters to me this year. They'd start off "To: [me]" and continue with whatever words they'd just figured out how to write. So, "cat dog mom me the sit skol" and then end up "From: [kid]". I have NO IDEA how this got started, but a whole group of them did it.
My son built a house inside my friend's house yesterday and put up a sign that said, "Opin for bismis".
I can totally see this coming.
We had a "zoo" sign on the mantle this past week as the kids set up "zoos" outside in the front planting area to attract visitors during Musikfest (the zoos included all manner of plastic animals, it was pretty cute).
Things get labeled, and when Miles is mad, torrents of notes get shoved under doors. Often those include multiple choice quizzes with questions like, "Can I have a megazord?" ___ Yes ___ No.
My child is currently ordering us to sing. Sing specific songs. Both sing! Dance!!
As soon as he can write, this will be our house.
Um. *I'm* the one who puts signs up in our house.
I'm 38 years old, the signs make perfect sense, and *still* nobody obeys them.
