Update IV

Oh, good for her! And good for you for being such an excellent father and husband while she worked so hard to recover!
I am so glad to hear this. Good luck to you and your family.
Ok, unfortunately I seem to have no idea what this post is referring to and google isn't helping me. I have gathered there was some kind of serious injury/illness your wife suffered and you've been dealing with this for a long time? I am very glad you're nearing the end of the saga, regardles if I know it or not though!!
Great news :)
Good for her and I hope she continues to improve.
Yay, that is great news. Maybe you'll have some free time to be my Knight in Knighthood? I'll teach you to offer me to Sailor.
I hope everything keeps getting better.
Yay!!!!
It started back in April.

I"m glad it wasn't googleable, though!
The point of my final update is just to keep things in balance. Since you listened to my grief, it's only fair to share the good news too. And also to thank you for helping me keep my head.
Sort of hard to believe.
Slaps palm to forehead. Of course. I had focused on your worries at the time, and the successful surgery, and never looked up the medical term, and thus failed to consider what a lengthy recovery period such a diagnosis might entail. Duh. This is why I am not a doctor.
Anyway, I am so glad that things are better and this ended in what seems like the best possible way.
Michael, I'm glad to hear things are getting back to normal! I truly hope that this all becomes a foggy memory for you guys and nothing more.
Yaaayy! I'm so glad to hear it.
Michael, I'm so glad for you and your wife and kids. I'll bet her speech-therapist was the real hero in all this, right? RIGHT??? :)
Hope you all enjoy her newfound freedom and independence.
Awesome! Great news. Thanks for keeping us up to date.
Ruth - actually, yes. We just loved her. Speech therapy is ongoing. I'll let you know in a private message where.
Good for you and her and your family! Best of luck with the long-term recovery.

I'll bet y'all thought it was over a while ago. But we are finally coming to the end of this saga. She is now cleared to drive, and in a couple of weeks she should return to work. Still, she needs lots of support, endurance, and stamina to get through a day. She's not quite ready for a full workday, but we think this will come rapidly.
But we are so excited. Thank you again for all your support!
