Newbie Thread--Reveal Yourself!

Hi all, I've actually been a lurker since the beginning of Offsprung, and even though I don't feel like I have time to actually participate in any online communities, I like checking in on the discourse here now and then. I posted recently and I'll probably post more often as I get bolder and the procrastination breaks get more necessary (I'm a law student). I am probably far away from having kids of my own but I worked as a nanny for most of my high school and college vacations, and I love talking about kids. Since none of my friends have kids, I have no one to talk early childhood development with (one of my college interests). And I love that Offsprung has such civil and cool forums.
Are you trying to out someone in particular?
I've commented twice now; read much for many months but kept my hands off the keyboard. It's hard to keep up with the busy OS universe, so I'm usually late to the playground.
And I'm destined to go into labour any time now with my second, the unplanned, child. Really, any time now.
In short: I live in Canada, married to a publisher, I do publishing stuff, have one child but soon (!) two, three step-children (grown ups all), and two dogs.
Over time I may become more chatty. Thanks for the push. Oh wait, that comes later....
Hello- joined a month or so ago for social contact. I work from home, and take care of my infantile spasms baby.
Chatty I can do. Still trying to figure out where I fit in, though.
Welcome guys!
Hi to everyone,
I've been lurking for a while. Love the articles and conversations, but usually I don't have anything to add that hasn't already been said by someone who's hit the nail on the head much better than I could. I love that there are a bunch of parents out there that feel the same way I do about a ton of issues, that's very cool.
Anyway, I have 3 kids (7, 5, and almost 3). They're good kids, but drive me crazy - what was I thinking having them so close in age??? My husband works for a family business so he puts in a lot of hours. He recently had major back surgery so we're still in the process of recuperating financially from that mess, but luckily his surgery was very successful so it was well worth it. I've had lots of jobs, but none of them were interesting or anything I'd want to do again. I'm a stay at home mom and have been since my oldest was born. Right now I'm in school part time finishing my bachelor degree in business. I'm also in the process of looking for a part-time job to help dig us out from this mountain of medical bills.
Sometime soon I'll probably start commenting because there are so many times when I feel like jumping in. Maybe now that I'm outed I will!
Newbie here. Discovered Offsprung by the lovely Megling and hope to be active now that internet access is stable. :)
I have two darling children: Arilyn, 2 years and Montgomery (Monty, Mo-gummy, Baby Gum-Gum), 7 1/2 months. I have one mostly darling husband, Cody.
We just relocated back to Arizona from NW Indiana (Chicago area) and am so very happy about it.
I think that's it...
