Read and discuss. How do you deal with similar issues, parental units?

Wild Thing is money obsessed like this. But his isn't so much wanting it, it's just counting what he has and talking about it. We also get "how many dollars in a quarter" and "if you have two silver dollars and two quarters that equals one dollar".

I just hope he's better at managing it than I am!

My oldest was into money for a while, so we bought him a play money set. He was more into counting the money than anything else. I think it's just a kid's way of feeling like a grown up. So, when my oldest plays with money, I take it away. He asks why I did that, and I tell him I'm the government. He still doesn't get it, but he will someday.

Mo is money obsessed too. I think the money set is a good idea cause my boy can't grasp the system just yet.

Neal it looks like Elijah and Mo are at the same stage especially the "I know everything" stage. I thought that happens when they are teenagers!

My son LOVES money. He wants it, he plays with it, he counts it, he holds it, he travels with it...he's got an illness of sorts!

Early on, we taught the Bean that it was fun to throw coins in fountains. Big mistake. He doesn't understand the concept of money and all he wants to do is literally throw our money away.
