White House Greetings

Yup - we got one of those as well. It was from W though, but it was shortly after 9/11 and prior to the war so I didn't think nearly so badly of him at the time. If it were now though, I think I'd postpone the wedding just to get one from Prez O.
Wow! I just looked at the site - they have gotten quite particular. All I had to do was send them an invite. Times they are a changin.
I've never done that, but my mom sent graduation invitations to Bill and Hillary when I graduated from high school (she loves Bill). Not announcements or anything like that, but actual tickets (of which there was a limited number and so a few of my actual relatives didn't get to go because of that). Of course, they didn't show up, but I have a really nice card that an aide stamped with Bill's signature congratulating me on graduating from high school.
Well CRAP! My tubes, they are a-tied, to no more babies for me. I wonder if my husband and I could get married again because a note from president Obama would be awesome. Bush can suck it. And peanut pants turns 1 before Obama takes office. Poop.
This could make a great gag gift, too (from the current administration).
Dang. Already married, no more kids. All I have is a (surely stamped) letter from Bush the elder for something from junior high.
So odd to me. I've never heard of this until now. Although I eloped and threw my own damn baby shower sooo... (bitter me never)

I knew the President & First Lady would send greetings for the birth of a child (I never got one b/c W was in office for both mine) but I didn't know they would do it for weddings too. I am SO applying for one next year.
