Thieves are stupid

I went to get in my car today while I was out and about, only to discover that someone had stolen my Obama car magnet. I know it was only a magnet and whatever, but it kind of ruined what was otherwise a good day. I mean, it's not like it has any kind of value, right? It just made me feel happy every time I got in my car, and now I just feel bummed out.

And I can't find them online anywhere, so it's not like I can just get a new one.

Stupid car magnet thief.

Well, thats just shitty. Lame

man, that sucks. a month or so ago someone threw a very large rock in our car window... i went out in the morning to get in the car and wondered why S had put a large rock in the baby's carseat- then i noticed all the broken glass- AND they didn't even steal anything. anyway, i hope you find something else to make your car happy.

I've been wondering if that might happen to my car magnet. I don't like stickers, but they are much harder to take.

pocket, that's terrible! Just plain old vandalism. I do not understand people.

and that is why i put an Obama sticker on my car. i had one of my yard signs stolen. (it was a no on 8 one, but i figured they would take my Obama one if given a chance.) stickers can be removed, although not too easily.

This didn't happen in the liberal utopia of Oak Park, did it? We have no crime here - that's all in Chicago, 100 yards away.

Seriously, that sucks. It would bug me, too, even though it seems like a fairly minor thing.

Our neighbors brand new VW SUV was egged on Halloween night. He was remarkably calm about it. I would have lost my mind if I'd left for work and saw that first thing in the morning.

Yeah, mamawho. It makes me extra mad because I figure in Oak Park, odds are it's an Obama supporter who took it. So they're stealing from someone who's on their own team! Who does that?

Lame people, that's who.

And yeah, I know, it's small, but it was still mine, you know? It makes me slightly less pleased with humanity.

At least it's not actual damage to my car. When I moved out of Humboldt Park earlier this year, I went out to pack my car the morning I was moving to find a bunch of bumper stickers saying "Humboldt Park is ours!" in Spanish all over my doors. I was like, Dude, I am moving out TODAY. Bad timing. Those took forever to get off.

Of all the things to steal, they steal that? They either really like obama, or hate him. That is so lame to steal. I just shake my head whenever I hear of people stealing political signs and stickers. Why do that? I think it's un-american to basically take away someone else's freedom of speech.

Maybe it was a tourist?

Seriously, there are a few Obama superfans in this town. I *really* like him, but the superfans are scary. Like Cheeseheads for politics.

We had a couple of thefts and incidents of vandalism with respect to our Obama yard signs. I believe it was a McCain supporter (or an "Obama-is-a-socialist-muslim" Obama hater). I did feel violated. Not only was someone trying to thwart our message, but that person was trespassing against property under cover of night to do so.

People are animals.

Someone stole lillies that I had left (in pots from the greenhouse) in my garden overnight before I could plant them. Still don't know what motivated that. Friend had his taptop bag stolen out of his car. No laptop, but it did have all his DnD manuals. His wife had her window smashed while she was at work (in a hospital)... the target was a tim hortons travel mug and 4$ in change.

JTC, that's rotten. Nobody should come onto your property to mess up your free speech.

wookie, stealing little stuff like that is just...it makes me angry PLUS baffled. I don't understand taking someone's stuff at all, but if it's something totally inconsequential or inexpensive it's like..what point was there, other than to upset the person you're stealing from?

I heard today that stealing Obama-related items and then selling them is quite the racket for the enterprising young person. Lame.
