At The Video Buffet

I loved Clash of the Titans, having been a mythology nerd as a kid. The Kraken hasn't held up well in the face of CGI.
For choosing videos, we don't get much resistance, and we don't have much of a planned way of doing it. It's basically us imposing a lot of stuff we used to like (e.g., Muppet Show, Time Bandits, etc.) that we now want to share. We mix in some newer movies so she isn't the kid in class who hasn't seen anything that the other kids have seen. And then there are the age inappropriate movies that she watches (e.g., Slither, The Thing) when she wanders into the room and I'm too permissive to make her leave. (She's a big fan of horror films. She eagerly watches and discusses stuff that would have had me hiding under my bed at her age. No anti-social behavior so far.)
Mo loves Space Balls and Time Bandits. He's 6 and most of the lewd jokes go over his head.
When I was young I'd watch whatever my dad was watching. So I saw Rocky Horror at 9 and Red Dawn and Airplane even younger. I'm not that screwed up.
Ah The Thing...I need to see that film again. AAHHH! HEAD SPIDER!
DVDs? How early 21st century.
Video iPods is where it's at!
Fair enough, but we're not there yet.
